It is a commonly held belief that the food culture within the Netherlands is nothing to write home about. Another is that any design relating to food must have something to do with the beautifying of the subject in question. With Food + Design, we attempt to change your mind by examining the food industry and where design could intervene: from how we grow it, to how we prepare it, from what we eat, to how we eat it. And although we are primarily examining the current food environment in the context of the Netherlands and how that might come to change in the future, there are greater implications that will affect the world at large.
